Yuanjian is representing an organic progression in his artistic journey, that of which began in early childhood.
He grew up country side near beach shores, mountains and rivers. Wang expresses a mellow, impressionistic sensibility with hints of abstract elements…fond of anything that is associated with nature. This calming and textured style radiates throughout his paintings.
The application of the paint is thick and sometimes very smooth in controlled strokes…radiating a spontaneous liveliness.
